PrEP, HIV care & STI treatment in Ghana — what nkwa.plus offers
Modern medicine has made it possible to live freely and fully — whether you are HIV-negative and want to stay that way, living with HIV and thriving, or seeking confidential STI/STD care. nkwa.plus brings PrEP, ARV support, Doxy-PEP, and LGBT-affirming healthcare to Accra and Kumasi, for everyone.
PrEP — Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis
A daily pill taken by HIV-negative people that reduces the chance of contracting HIV by over 99% when taken consistently. One small pill a day — that is it. Available free for most nkwa+ patients.
PEP — Post-Exposure Prophylaxis
PEP is emergency HIV medication taken within 72 hours after a potential HIV exposure. It is a short course of ARVs that prevents the virus from taking hold. Time-sensitive — contact us immediately if you need PEP.
ARVs — Antiretroviral Therapy
ARVs allow PLHIV (people living with HIV) to maintain an undetectable viral load — meaning the virus cannot be passed to partners. nkwa+ connects PLHIV with discreet, NHIS-covered ARV support in Accra and Kumasi.
Mental health & LGBT support
Affirming mental health support and peer counselling for youth, sexual minorities, and anyone navigating identity, relationships, or life pressure quietly. You are not alone.
Doxy-PEP & STI care
Doxy-PEP is a single antibiotic dose taken after potential STI exposure. It sharply reduces the risk of chlamydia, gonorrhoea, and syphilis. We advise on Doxy-PEP as part of comprehensive sexual health care.

ARV support for PLHIV in Accra & Kumasi
Antiretroviral therapy (ARV) allows PLHIV (people living with HIV) to maintain an undetectable viral load — meaning the virus cannot be transmitted to partners. nkwa+ coordinates discreet, NHIS-covered ARV access in Accra and Kumasi. Undetectable = Untransmittable (U=U).
